 metropolisjapan.com "hajime" is a seven-artist collaboration and the first publication by ToCo, Tokyo Collective, started by Erica Ward and Julia Nascimento. The zine includes comics, illustrations, and poetry, in a diverse range of tones and styles. I decided to do some comic-style work for the book, with a small sample image below. Lots of fine lines and details to represent the intricacies of Tokyo. I'm also happy to have my illustration, "Train Lines in Bloom" as the cover of our first issue!
