7/3-7/19 Exhibiton: IKIMONO

現在、地球上には数百万種から数千万種の生き物が存在するといわれており、それらが複雑に関わり合うことにより、豊かな生態系を築いている。本展のメンバー4名の作家はそれぞれ異なるアプローチでこの生き物に向き合ってきた。生き物の美しさ、単なる見た目の華やかさだけでなく、過酷な環境を生き抜くために磨き上げられた「機能美」や、見る者の心を打つ「多様な色彩と造形」。それぞれの作家が放つ独自のエネルギーと、異なる表現が一堂に会することで生じる化学反応を体感してほしい。
It is said that there are currently millions, or even tens of millions, of species of living things on Earth, and their complex interactions create a rich ecosystem. The four artists participating in this exhibition have each approached "ikimono," (creatures) from their own unique perspectives. They explore the beauty of living things, not just their visual splendor, but also the "functional beauty" honed to survive harsh environments, and the "diverse colors and forms" that touch the hearts of viewers. We invite you to experience the unique energy emanating from each artist's animal artwork.
