“Senja-e” Collaboration Woodblock Prints

I am very excited to announce that my collaboration woodblock print "Four Seasons” is now available for purchase online.​
本物の木版画セット「四季」がオンラインショップで発売開始！

​The 4-piece print series is a collaboration between myself and fourth-generation woodblock printer, Ogawa Nobuto, with Sekioka Wooblock Print Studio. My design, “Four Seasons,” pairs seasonal motifs with the signage of four Japanese convenience stores. In this special set, the designs are hand printed from hand carved woodblocks — with each printed color requiring a seperate carved block.
４枚の木版画は、江戸から続く関岡木版画工房の四代目小川信人氏とのコラボレーションワークです。日本のコンビニに四季の要素を合わせた作品「四季」を彫師、摺師さんが木版画にしてくれました。

Each set comes with all four designs. Each print is signed and numbered, from an  edition number of 200.
このセットには４枚の木版画が含まれ、それぞれの木版画には通し番号とサインが入っています。

“Four Seasons” is one of many designs from my 2022 series, “Senja-e” which utilizes the traditional vertical shape of a senjafuda, which is a style that Ogawa-san and his workshop specialize in. In the future we will continue to make collaborative woodblock prints, so now is a great time to start your collection.
関岡木版画工房が得意とする伝統的な千社札の縦長のフォーマットを使用した「四季」は2022年に発表した「千社絵」シリーズからのデザインです。将来的には他のデザインも同様に木版画にする予定です。
