 CAT POWER is an annual cat rescue fundraiser group exhibition held at Le Monde Gallery in Harajuku. Le Monde specializes in illustration, and this year CAT POWER showcases over 50 illustrators' works with a cat theme. I will have a new piece created for this exhibition available for sale, and as all the works in the exhibition, a percent of all sales goes to support cat rescues.

 現在、地球上には数百万種から数千万種の生き物が存在するといわれており、それらが複雑に関わり合うことにより、豊かな生態系を築いている。本展のメンバー4名の作家はそれぞれ異なるアプローチでこの生き物に向き合ってきた。生き物の美しさ、単なる見た目の華やかさだけでなく、過酷な環境を生き抜くために磨き上げられた「機能美」や、見る者の心を打つ「多様な色彩と造形」。それぞれの作家が放つ独自のエネルギーと、異なる表現が一堂に会することで生じる化学反応を体感してほしい。 It is said that there are currently millions, or even tens of millions, of species of living things on Earth, and their complex interactions create a rich ecosystem. The four artists participating in this exhibition have each approached "ikimono," (creatures) from their own unique perspectives. They explore the beauty of living things, not just their visual splendor, but also the "functional beauty" honed to survive harsh environments, and the "diverse colors and forms" that touch the hearts of viewers. However the administration has also not created any clear system for how customers can pay this tax once their item has entered the country. For this reason many countries’ postal services, including Japan Post, have stopped service to the USA until the situation is resolved.
It is very unfortunate, but I cannot accept any webstore orders to the USA at this time. Since my webstore provider does not allow countries to be removed from the input system, I have adjusted the settings so that any attempt to order to the USA will show a dispropotionately high shipping fee. Any orders made in error will be canceled .
