​For this exhibition, Erica Ward and Perfumer Ko collaborated in creating eight new original works inspired by eight areas of Tokyo. For each area Erica Ward interpreted it into a watercolor painting, and Perfumer Ko interpreted it into a fragrance. They're also creating a fragrance zine: an art book with all eight illustrations and packets containing all eight scents to enjoy the experience again at home.

Framed visual artworks will be for sale.Erica and Ko plan to be at the exhibition all three days. 
There are lots of cool shops and cafes in the Kiyosumi area too, so come make a day of it!

I provided the cover illustration for the book, “Miwotsukushi Squadron: Metro-Rangers!”(I took total liberty making up the English translation of the title) by novelist Makime Manabu. Mr. Makime has written many surreal novels, including “Princess Toyotomi” and “Battle League Horumo” which have been made into feature films. This one is a collection of short stories about the “MetoRangers,” transforming power rangers wearing the colors of the Osaka Metro line who fight enemies that attack Osaka while also fighting their own everyday woes. For this illustration I was able to pack in a lot of “Osaka-ness” which reminded me of when I used to live there.

The book design is by the AMAZING Satosankai, so I am really looking forward to the physical book.
